In a low-scoring contest this weekend, the Denver Broncos clinched a 13-11 victory over the winless New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter touchdown pass and kicker Wil Lutz kicked the game-winning go-ahead field goal to secure the ugly win.

Defensive Performance Seals Contest

Despite registering nine sacks against Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos found themselves trailing 11-10 after conceding a two-point play in the second half. Remarkably, the Jets managed a mere 82 offensive yards throughout the contest.

Nix, who completed 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, led a critical 12-play, 65-yard drive that ended with Lutz's 27-yard kick with approximately five minutes remaining.

Historic Difficulties for Jets Offense

In spite of their horrendous offensive display, the Jets maintained the ball with a chance to score a potential victory. However Fields was sacked on fourth down from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn chose to go for it instead of calling on kicker Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

The Jets quarterback had difficulties all game, completing just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. The Jets ended up with negative ten passing yards, the lowest in any contest since 1998.
